O’Malley’s has taken delivery of their first of ten new Euro 6 Scania P410 Tippers. All of which come with Crossrail Compliant Kits.
O’Malley’s introduced a safe urban driving course to provide practical on-road cycle training. Encouraging drivers to ride a bicycle & get a cyclists view of the road gave drivers the opportunity to experience firsthand the changing streetscape & urban environment & learn to recognise the hazards faced by vulnerable road users.
Transport Manager Dave Holloway says “This was a great opportunity for our drivers to see how dangerous & unprotected a cycle rider is on the streets of London. We have ourselves put a bonus scheme in for our drivers that cycle into work, its great for fitness & a brilliant way of lowering our carbon footprint. I myself now, cycle to & from work everyday.”
FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) run by TFL (Transport For London), is an industry-led voluntary scheme for fleet operators whose purpose it is to raise the level of quality & performance within fleet operations.
Director Tom O’Malley says “Being a FORS member has given us the platform to benchmark & measure our preformance within the industry, as well as continuosly identify areas where further improvements could be made”
